Silent Vs. Standard Air Purifiers

Many people who have made the wise decision to purchase an air purifier for their home are now facing the difficult question, “Which one do I choose?” There are several different types of air purifiers to choose from that are made by different manufacturers and have various features. Usually they are deciding whether or not to choose silent or standard purifiers.

There are a few differences between the two types of air purifiers that can influence your decision. Price and maintenance are usually the most basic factors that people will consider – but there may even be a few features that you need or do not need – which you should know about.

Price

If price is something that is going to greatly affect your decision than you should know right away that silent air purifiers are going to be more expensive than the standard kind. This is because they have more features and are more effective. If price is something you have to watch – but you want to spend enough to get something good than you should save your money until you have the ability to purchase what is best for you.

Maintenance

When you have an air purifier you are going to have to maintain it in order to keep it running smoothly. With everything we have in our life none of us wants to spend a half hour or more out of our day to clean something. Standard air purifiers use air filters that have to be replaced and can be difficult to clean because the dust and allergens can become stuck to it easily.

Silent air purifiers do not use any type of air filter. Instead they use special plates that will trap the allergens and pollutants from the air. All you need to do is take these plates out and clean them off. They are easy to wipe off and don’t require you to purchase filters every few months. This will save you money in the long run.

Noise Level

Silent air purifiers were created to reduce the amount of noise that the standard air purifiers created. These standard models use motors and fans that filter the air. Unfortunately many people cannot stand the noise and find it hard to watch television, listen to music, and even sleep while they are operating. Silent air purifiers require no motors or fans – which makes them completely noise-free.
